3 Benefits of Renting Serviced City Accommodation

Travel Blog

If you are planning to visit a big city, you may be trying to decide if you should book a stay at a local hotel or a serviced apartment. While a serviced accommodation may not have a concierge on the front desk, many do have contact telephone numbers you can call if you need any assistance with booking taxi cabs and finding out about local attractions. Below is a guide to 3 benefits of booking serviced accommodation rather than a hotel.

Reduced Maid Service

It can be nice to think that someone will attend to your room to tidy it up. However, having someone visit your hotel room every day can become intrusive and annoying. One big benefit of booking a serviced apartment for your city break is that, typically, a maid will only visit once a week. These infrequent visits mean you can sleep in without having to worry about being disturbed if you forget to hang the "do not disturb" sign on the door. While this means the place may get a little messy, having a maid visit on a less regular basis can reduce the amount of stress you feel during your stay.

Increased Privacy

If you book a room at a hotel, it is likely that there will be a limit on the number of adults who can stay with you before you need to pay additional fees. Some hotels may forbid you from having a certain number of guest in one room, no matter how much you are prepared to pay. Hiring serviced accommodation means that, within reason, you can have as many visitors as you wish. These visitors will be able to come and go as they please without the concierge checking them in and out, meaning you can avoid any additional fees.

Kitchen Facilities

Renting a serviced apartment also means you will enjoy the benefit of the kitchen facilities which are available, such as a cooker, freezer and dishwasher. While in a hotel you will always need to eat out or order room service, in a serviced accommodation, you can prepare home-cooked food. The kitchen facilities also mean you can eat whenever you want to and not just when the restaurant is open or the food service menu is on offer. If you have travelled some distance and need to eat at unsociable hours, this can be a big plus.

If you would like to find out more about the benefits of hiring a serviced apartment, you should contact a company which provides city accommodation.

Heading to the theme parks

The kids were on our backs for a while to go to a theme park. We finally got some leave approved from work so we took a trip up to Queensland to see as many as we could in two weeks. We aren't millionaires by any means so we needed to keep this trip to a tight budget, so it's a good thing I'm an expert at finding great deals. This blog shows all of the planning that should go into family traveling and trips to places like theme parks. I hope you find it useful when planning your next getaway!
